WELCOME to our ONLINE SHOP!
We focus on products that are uplifting, inspirational and include positive messaging. We also give back and empower women in our community by a program we call "Dream Uplifters." With the donations of broken and/or unused jewelry from our customers, we re-purpose the items into new creations or mosaics. Some of the proceeds from the sales of these re-purposed items go to the St. Charles Community College Foundation, funding scholarships for women who are returning-learners. To date, 15 women have been awarded more than $11,000 in scholarship dollars. We get updates on the recipients by the college, and have heard that many of the women would not have been able to attend college if it weren't for our assistance.
** If you have any broken jewelry, please consider dropping off a box to our shop, or mailing to us at 814 S Main St., St Charles, MO 63301. Any and all donations are welcomed and appreciated.
Out of tragedy, comes triumph. We began when Patrice repaired a broken rosary that had belonged to Brenda's mother. Broken in a car crash 20 years ago when Brenda's mother was killed, the rosary was broken. Patrice repaired the sacred beads, and Brenda was inspired to start designing jewelry. Both women were working full-time in other professions, but the jewelry seemed "blessed" and inspired.
What began 13 years ago by chance, has grown into a respected, award-winning jewelry design business. Our unique jewelry designs are often crafted with beads made by indigenous and impoverished women from regions around the world. We seek to empower women by supporting their trades and bringing attention to their economic challenges.
We opened in May of 2015 in the historic town of St. Charles, Missouri, a popular destination to international travelers, as well as locals.
In addition to our jewelry designs, we chose to feature many other local women artists who needed an outlet to sell their designs. The art selections include vintage-jeweled mosaics, photography, alcohol ink tiles, embroidered denim, hand tye-dyed clothing and scarves, and artistic greeting cards. The shop include natural soaps, essential oil roll-ons, lotion bars, moisturizers, bath salts, and lip balms. Follow us on Twitter @butterflyandmoonshop
